Process:

1. Create a circuit on a breadboard

2. Transfer your circuit from the your actual breadboard to Fritzing breadboard mode. Make sure you connections are exactly the same in both (real and virtual) breadboard

3. Switch to PCB view in Fritzing. Now drag all parts of your circuit to the green rectangle (PCB board)

4. Make sure you place the components with most connections in the center of the green rectangle (usually this will be your microcontroler)

5. Now click on the Autoroute icon

6. You will see now a new arrangements the connections between components. If you run across problems when autorouting, you will find troubleshooting tips at the Fritzing website.

7. Now go to the Trace menu and select Design Rules Check to make sure that your connections are not to close to each other among other things

8. Export files asĀ  PDF.

9. Open file in Illustrator and adjust line thickness to be etched with the laser cutter.

1. ITO Coated substrate (flexible sheet coated with a conducting material)

2. Phosphor ink (pink ink)

3. Dialectic (white ink)

4. Conductor (silver ink, could be other conductive materials)

5. Masking tape (isolates the bottom conductor ITO from the top conductor)

Simply connect an alligator clip from the ITO coat to a pin in the EL power supply and the other alligator clip from the top Conductor layer to another pin of the EL power supply. You should hear a high pitch sound if the two alligator clip are connected correctly.

This basic piezo sensor is often used for flex, touch, vibration and shock measurements. A small AC and large voltage (up to +/-90V) is created when the film moves back and forth. A simple resistor should get the voltage down to ADC levels. Can also be used for impact sensing or a flexible switch.

HOW TO CONNECT:

A photocell changes (also called a photodetector, CdS or photoconductive cell) resistance depending on the amount of light it is exposed to. These little sensors make great ambient light triggers (when light in the room turns on, do something).
